We recognize that, to be competitive, students must have essential skills in computers and technology. Therefore, technology is an integral part of the learning experience at Alta Vista High School. Our state-of-the art computer and technology lab is fully equipped with 30 new flat screen computer workstations and a print station. In addition every classroom is computer-equipped, have over 90 computers available for students to use. All classrooms are also equipped with either a SMART Board or MIMIO and we also have an ELMO ready for use.

Computer instruction includes an introduction to the world of business through the use of current computer applications and technology. Students learn keyboarding, word processing, data management, PowerPoint and Excel at the beginning and intermediate levels. Students also study the fundamentals of web page design.
