Three daily classes - daily live direct instruction-daily tutoring = your success!
The order by governor Doug Ducey on June 29, 2020 states that all schools must delay the start of in-person classes until August 17, 2020, but that schools may begin the school year on their regularly-planned start date using distance/remote learning.
- Alta Vista HIGH SCHOOL opened ON TIME via remote learning mode on August 5, 2020
- Start and end dates for each phase in our learning plan will be determined by Alta Vista High School and The Leona Group in conjunctions with Arizona Executive Orders.
- Students will need access to their own laptop. If students do not have access at home or are sharing a laptop with a family member, they must check out an AVHS Chromebook and/or Wi-Fi pack. Students will be required to attend daily instructional sessions with their teacher.

In this current time, safety is even more important than ever.
At Alta Vista High School, safety has always been our top priority.
The health, wellness and safety of our students and staff remains the top priority for us. Only those families/students who have a significant need for on-site support services should request services while we adapt to the new routines for everyone.
Limited on-site support services will begin on August 17th, 2020 unless otherwise changed by the Governor or local health authorities. On-site support services will be offered during regular school hours. Students may participate in on-site support services from 8:00 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. To participate, parents are asked to contact the school office NO LATER than Thursday each week to reserve a spot for the following week. Students who use on-site support and supervision services will not be participating in regular, in-person, teacher-led instruction while the school is in distance learning.
