Transportation
Students are responsible for transportation to and from school. AVHS will provide bus tickets to those students who use Sun Tran for a discounted rate. Parents are encouraged to apply for a discount card directly available by Sun Tran. For more information on routes and schedules, a Sun Tran bus schedule is available in the AVHS front office.
AVHS will provide transportation on our school bus for several routes. Service will be limited to the seating capacity of the school bus and will only service specific scheduling options and pickup locations. A list of school bus routes and pick up. Drop off locations are available in the AVHS front office.
ALL AVHS RULES, POLICIES, & PROCEDURES APPLY WHILE RIDING THE BUS, include:
• Respect the driver, other passengers, and their property
• Follow all directions
• Seats are assigned by the bus driver.
• Keep all parts of the body inside the bus at all times.
• Students should talk quietly and keep their hands to themselves. Absolutely NO FIGHTING.
• All students should be courteous of those around them. No profanity, vulgar language, or obscene gestures.
• No eating, chewing gum, or drinking. (Except water.)
• Students are to remain in their seats until the bus comes to a complete stop.
• Students will only be allowed to exit the bus at their assigned stop. Student ID’s will be coded for each student to be dropped off at a specific stop. Students are not allowed to exit at any stop other than their designated stop.
• No littering or destruction of the bus.
• Personal belongings are the responsibility of the student that they belong to and shall be under the passengers control at all times.
• No hats are allowed to be worn inside the bus.
• Students are responsible for any damage they cause to the bus.
• Nothing is to be thrown outside of the bus
The administrative team reserves the right to deny bus privileges to any student.
