Fitness Strategies
This course allows students exposure to various fitness strategies that will improve their quality of living if observed. Focus is on both the physical and mental preparation and maintenance in staying fit, healthy, and strong.
Fitness For Life
The course is a combination of classroom and activity-based learning activities with a focus on proper nutrition and the mastery of skills and concepts necessary for students to become accomplished monitors of their personal lifetime fitness. Through participation, students learn to compare the fitness benefits in a variety of individual and team activities.
Food, Nutrition, & You
This course focuses on the science of healthy eating combined with healthy lifestyle. Students will examine the health benefits, risks, and gains of eating various combinations of foods. Students will also explore the effects poor lifestyle decision making has on one’s life.
Health
This course focuses on the science of healthy living. Course curriculum is aligned with state and national standards. Coursework will examine mental and physical health, human sexual reproduction, sexually transmitted disease, adverse affects of drug use, the benefits of exercise, and more.
Physical Education
This course focuses on the study, practice, and participation in various athletic sports, games, and activities within and emphasis on health, exercise, and fair play.
Team Sports
This course focuses on the study, practice, and participation in various athletic team sports including basketball, volleyball, soccer, and more. Game rules of each sport will be studied and applied as students participate in each game.
