Student Council
Alta Vista High School's Student Council has existed on campus since 2003. Student Council officials are elected into office by the student body. Members are responsible for creating and executing school events such as Pep-Assemblies, Prom Fundraising, Canned Food Drive and the Dodge Ball Tournament. The Alta Vista High School Student Council is a full member of the Arizona Association of Student Councils.
All students are welcome to participate and become members, all that is required is a great attitude, enthusiasm, and desire to be leaders. For more information, contact Mr. Machado or Mrs. Nunez, Student Council Advisors at 520-294-4922.

Prom Committee
Alta Vista High School's Prom Committee worked very hard to produce a spectacular event for upperclassmen though fundraising and event planning. Unlike other years this years prom committee was a joint effort with members of both Student Council and The National Honor Society. This was Alta Vista's seventh prom held on April 19th at The Savoy Opera House (Trail Dust Town) in Tucson Arizona. The theme for the event was "Old Hollywood". Students ate a great gourmet dinner under the Tucson stars and danced the night away.
