Did you know that the Extracurricular Activities Tax Credit Fund lowers your taxes and supports students?
The Arizona Legislature passed a law (A.R.S. 43-1089.01) allowing Arizona taxpayers to contribute up to $400 to a public school, and then deduct the entire amount from their state tax bill. Tax payers may also deduct on federal returns as a charitable contribution.
Extracurricular activities are good for children and the community.
The law says funds must be used for extracurricular activities. Extracurricular activities help children develop qualities such as leadership, team play and cooperation, as well as safe, supervised activities after school hours.
Parents and non-parents are eligible
This tax credit is available to all Arizona tax payers regardless of whether or not they have children in school. An individual may contribute up to $200 or a couple filing jointly can contribute and receive a tax credit for a maximum of up to $400.
Please donate to Alta Vista High School Today!
A receipt will be provided for tax purposes.
Donations must be received by December 31, 2011 in order to be eligible for the tax credit this year.
Thank you!
