Hey Everyone, Omg!! Alta Vista High School is so awesome! This school is a vast improvement in the field of education! Mrs. Alvarez is the BEST PRINCIPAL a school could ask for! The teachers here push us to be the best that you can be. As each year changes, the school changes, as well as we do. So remember high school for the ups and downs after high school. Strive to further yourself and your education. Thank you to all the staff for making this school what it is. Thank you teachers of 2009 -2010 for making an impact in my walk of life. Remember if it’s a room filled of people yelling hate or support, its all noise...how you take it is up to you. GO LOBOS!! -Class of 2010 Adrian T.-
Hello everybody well I’m Hadasa and all I can say is that Alta Vista was the BEST! Right now, I am at the U of A and I love it, always remember to get used to studying! The last thing I want to mention is “stay in school and go on with your education”. -Class of 2010 Hadasa-
Hello...I am Dulce Espinoza, I am a graduate from Alta Vista. It was the best school I could have come to. It was always a great environment to be at. Now, I am a mom of a beautiful baby girl and I am helping my mother stay in school. It’s all worth it at the end. -Class of 2010 Dulce Espinoza-

11/1/10 This school was a big step for me. A big step towards my new future, lots of memories were enjoyed here and never will be forgotten. As a student, I thought high school was everything, but years later I realized it was just the beginning. Sometimes it’s not all about grades and academics that defines you as a student, but the relationships you build with teachers, staff and friends (also lovers) that remind you of the big crazy family you become here. Class of 2007 was truly unique and can never be forgotten. Always and forever -Jose Sanchez-
November 8, 2010 Now being back feels as if I never left, it feels as if it was yesterday that I was sitting in Mr. Meyer’s government class listening to his lectures…thanks to the teachers and staff here. I was always shown how much my education is truly worth. Alta Vista helped me turn around my life for the better, and that will never be forgotten; along with all the memories that remain.
November 30th, 2010 First off, GO LOBOS!!! I really miss Alta Vista! If it wasn’t for all of the staff and support I wouldn’t be where I am at today. Where am I now you may ask? I am currently in my last month of college at Brookline. I look forward to moving on with my life. After this month, off to the U of A I go! -Anna Marie Clardy-
Hello again Alta Vista! I came to visit of course because I miss high school life more than anything. I never thought I would miss it as much as I do now. Words of advice? Enjoy it while you can! It feels good to come in and all the things I accomplished while I was here. It’s good to see everyone still coming to visit. As of right now, I’m working. This is why I say enjoy while you can. Some are fortunate enough to get help outside of high school and some like (me) are not. I hope I continue coming back to see more signatures in this book! -Class of 2008 Selina Sanchez- 12/13/10 Hey-this is Eric Valdez, good to see you again; it was awesome being a student here. Be back to visit ASAP. Going to the USMC so see you after boot camp. -Class of 2009 Eric Valdez-
Todo ha estado muy bien. Got a job, and saving more money for college which I would hopefully start in January. Then I plan to transfer to a culinary school. High school fue un gran paso que nunca olvidaré, que me ayudo a ser mejor persona y fue donde conocí a muchas personas que nunca olvidare… -Class of 2010 Edna Santiago-

I would like to say this school changed me to the fullest. I came here being a gang member and as I was going to Alta Vista High School I learned that this life was not what I wanted. I wanted the best things in life and that was by succeeding at this school. Also, when I first came here I didn’t like anyone, not even myself, but as I started to see that all these people wanted to see me be someone in this life, I started to change and loving things in a different way. This school gave me something that I thought I would never get and that was MY diploma! Also, my baby girl changed me and made me think that I don’t want that life I was living anymore. I want to raise my child as good as I can. Also, I was a very negative person, all the staff and teachers and Mrs. Alvarez made me think that I can do everything and I became a better person, not negative but a positive person.
Now that I am out of high school, I am back in school, but, now it’s in college. This time I am going to finish on time because I really want it for me and my baby. I want her to see that her daddy was a bad person but, but he changed for her and my own good. I would like to say thank you all for believing in me and giving me the chance to prove to you that I was serious about graduating.
This is how I felt but now I am very thankful. Thanks for putting all that energy and time in me; it was worth it even though I was a punk sometimes. Thank you all and miss you all and this school. -Jose F. Amaya-Medina-
3/18/11 So….Today I came to AVHS with Rosalinda G. We came 2 miles to not see teachers after the bell rings. Any way, I hope everyone has been doing great! My daughter is doing great as well. She’s a little brat and is 1 year and 7 months. As for myself, I could be doing better...I miss everyone! Take care! Thanks AVHS!! -Class of 2010 Melissa Sanchez-
Hey Alta Vista, I’m currently attending Carrington College, am having my third baby, and got my first apartment. Starting life off with a great beginning. The one thing I miss about Alta Vista the most, is all my friends, and of course the awesome teachers and staff. I just want to say good luck to all the kids here now and enjoy it because you’re going to want it back. -Class of 2010 Anna Medina-
Dear Alta Vista & Mrs. Alvarez, There are so many memories in this school that I will never forget and I have taken them to my grown-up life. This was the best school and still is, I will always remember it. I am now 25 years old (wow, 7 years ago I graduated), married to a wonderful man with a 2 and a half son, Nikolas. I will be going back to college again and would highly encourage you (or whoever may read this) to stay in college!! Do not drop out!! I will visit again sometime and hopefully we’ll have a ’05 reunion (please we need one). Mrs. Alvarez, you are an amazing person and principal, I am so happy you are still here, you make this high school awesome along with the rest of the staff. GO LOBOS!! -Class of 2010 Sara Campos-
I can’t believe I graduated in 3 years after an accident in ’09. Thanks I have a lot of good memories! -Class of 2010 Justin Gregory-
