Alta Vista Lobo to attend conference in Washington D.C.
Alta Vista High School is very proud to have helped sponsor junior and National Honor Society (NHS) Vice-President, Francisco "Frankie" Leon. Frankie departs to our nations capitol on June 12 to attend the Congressional Youth Leadership Council's National Youth Leadership Conference(NYLC) for nine days. Frankie was nominated by Alta Vista's Academic Advisor for his outstanding academic record, athletic participation and contributions to Alta Vista's NHS Chapter.
Once there, Frankie will build on his leadership skills, network with important politicians and students from all 50 states. The NYLC program was established 30 years ago and since then has helped students grow. Frankie will have the opportunity to visit historical sites in D.C. Alta Vista High School is very proud of Francisco Leon and wishes him the best of luck and enjoyable experience.
