Top students complete summer leadership program

August 9

Alta Vista High School students, Mayra Felix and Marisela Tapia-Navarro attended the Greater Tucson Youth Leadership Program from July 5 through July 16 at City High School in downtown Tucson. Mayra and Marisela are both at the top of the senior class, members of the National Honor Society (NHS) Chapter & Student Council, and enrolled in honors courses. The program enhanced their leadership and diversity skills. The Greater Tucson Youth Leadership Program was sponsored by the Volunteers of Tucson, Pima Community College, The University of Arizona and Greater Tucson Leadership.
